GEORGE TOWN: DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is being investigated over a media statement issued by the Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council on Jan 12, his lawyer said today.

RSN Rayer said the Bagan member of parliament was contacted by investigating officer, Assistant Superintendent Mohd Khairul Ridzuan Khairuddin, from the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman yesterday.

"(YB) Lim will be giving his full cooperation to the police in their investigations," he said.

Elaborating, Rayer said the media statement had touched on the Emergency declaration.

"(YB) Lim was supposed to have his statement recorded on Thursday but it has since been postponed," he added.
