Working Experience Tan Sri Dato' Paduka Dr Mazlan bin Ahmad began his career in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service of the Malaysian Government in August 1966. During the course of his 33 years in Public Service, he had served as INTAN Director, Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice, Secretary General of the Ministry of Information, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance and Mayor of Kuala Lumpur. He retired from the Malaysian Civil Service as Director General of the Public Service Department in December 1998. He was then appointed and served for 6 years as Chairman of the Education Service Commission until January 2005. He is currently a Chairman of University Kebangsaan Malaysia.
