Im just wondering since Minister KJ already clearly said Gov will let Pharma & Dpharma to handle vaccine when it's available, but why companies with no experience in handling vaccines that get more attention?
They think Gov will just buy vaccines from bamboo flooring company, engineering company & piping company? huhu

KJ already mentioned in his interview if private sector supply direct to private hospitals, there’s nothing anyone can do and the money is in private healthcare. Pharma and Dpharma is for public sector purchases.

From myr1 billion to myr3 billion budget approve for covax Vaccine for 70% population. Sinopharm vaccine is too damn expensive by at least 7 times more. Covax is the ideal choice for our country who has tight budget.

Although I work at Duopharma i not interested at this share anymore. It already so overpriced. Sales also not so good. Only consumer division is doing well. Marketing division is not going well. But if the vaccine coming, I will doing overtime like there is no tomorrow. Overtime...................

Sinopharm Vaccine (linked to Kanger) is on track for full approval in November or December

Sinopharm has experience with WHO pre-qualification for vaccines. Hence, it should be an issue obtaining WHO pre-qualification for Sinopharm Covid Vaccine.

"Sinopharm and Sinovac both have other vaccines pre-qualified by the WHO. A subsidiary of Sinopharm was the first to receive WHO prequalification for Japanese encephalitis vaccines after years of support from several UN agencies to help it meet the standard. “They know what the WHO wants,” Kim said, adding that China was supplying 80 per cent of the Japanese encephalitis vaccines in Asia."

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 — The government has decreased next year’s budgets for curative care and public health, including deep cuts for cancer and kidney disease treatments, even as Malaysia is facing the greatest public health crisis in history with Covid-19.

Despite a slight 4 per cent increase of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) allocation from last year to RM31.9 billion in Budget 2021, MOH reduced its medical budget by 20.5 per cent from RM14.2 billion in 2020 to RM11.3 billion in 2021, making wide-ranging cuts across almost all health care services, including a massive 74 per cent decrease for pharmacy and supplies, according to the Estimated Federal Expenditure 2021 document. Pharmacy and supplies refer to drugs and other non-pharmaceutical items like personal protective equipment, IV drips, and syringes, among others.

There is a pharmaceutical act which codes all vaccine that brought in is synchronized and under tight sop. No way new companies with dubious JV will be allowed any role in it. Only pharmaniaga and dpharma..harap maklum..all the news you hear regarding this new small companies jv will not make it to the end.
