Plantermen Waiting for their MOH approval since end May till now. Hoping the Board announce it during the recent AGM held at Saujana. It a whisper and no question allowed
10/07/2020 4:26 PM
mh87 Q3 is Jul-Sep..

If you think you can wait within this 3 month then okay.

If cannot then better sell first and go for other stock..=)

But based on my observation, we can see a positive movement at anytime from now.

This week panic selling almost nothing.

Up to you guys..

Stop talking nonsense. If cannot wait just sell..

khanti Tomorrow never ends. You cannot blame ppl from talking nonsense because they are not mid-long term investors. Thats why you see when up half to one sen they start throwing compared to other stocks where the investors are steady and hold on.
10/07/2020 5:22 PM
mh87 Khanti,

The solution is if you know this stock becomes a mid-long term run then you should automatically change your strategy.

Must has Plan A and Plan B rather than keep talking nonsense without doing anything.
10/07/2020 5:30 PM
khanti mh87, fyi, I am holding K1 since April and on mid-long term. I am pretty sure those holding this stock will be handsomely rewarded. Whether a person wants to apply PlanA or Plan B is up to individual and I believe ppl who invest in stock have brain to think.
10/07/2020 5:44 PM
mh87 Khanti,

I am also holding this K1 since April and keep buying more when good opportunity is coming.

We are here just to share good info so that we can earn more profit.

Some ppl just invest without knowing their own risk. Some ppl just want quick money without applying good strategy.

Not all ppl have experience in this kind of situation.

Anyway, keep sharing good info guys..=)

Kacibom Looking at Scomnet news today, if the dots were to connect, scomnet have got the US FDA approval for medical devices.. somehow, K1 have licence link to US on the ventilators.. although, ventilators may wont be as profitable comparing to the glove business, however K1 by far are one and only malaysian company who have successfully attained those licence from US.. just hopefully the news announced for scomnet benefits K1..
10/07/2020 6:39 PM
Kacibom In addition, from the chart 0.405-0.425 seems to be a good support to hold the downtrend.. but once the resistance channel line breaks, it will be a clear sky for K1
10/07/2020 6:43 PM
khanti mh87,

Good, me too, if there is an opportunity to add more, I will not hesitate to go in because I believe that K1 stock will rises again.

Patience is the key word and pray that K1 investors will soon be rewarded with handsome profit.

We can do it, right?

Kacibom K1 QTR Report Key Takeaways:

-The Group’s Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) business, predominantly export in
nature (94.7% export in 1Q’20; 96.6% export in 1Q’19) is subject to seasonal fluctuations.
Business in the second half of the year is normally stronger than the first half of the year
due to surge in demand mainly attributed to the consumer electronics market segment
in conjunction with Christmas and New Year seasons overseas.

-Revenue contribution from the Cloud Computing business (through G-AsiaPacific Sdn.
Bhd. for which the acquisition of 60% equity interest in the said company was concluded
in March 2019) is mainly derived from Malaysia and is not subject to any obvious

There were no issuances, repurchases and repayments of debt and equity securities
during the period.

K1 mainly profits from its EMS business comparing to its other business which also include the Cloud, & Internet of Things.. but due to the pandemic, we are all well aware that, business is sluggish due to lockdowns, thus less demand in this sector which brings lower profit in K1. This is also due to the fact that most of the supplychains came from china, thus due to the lockdown in china, there was interrupted supply which hard to meet its fulfillment..

Looking in the near future, 2nd Qtr would be better view as the pandemic in Malaysia have stabilised with key consumer in electronics will start to pick up due to preparations on peek events such as christmas, new years, etc.. Also importantly due to the impact of health aids requirement, K1 intensifies its focus in the healthcare segments in which the recently announced NASA-JPL Low-Cost Ventilators (VITAL) to be supplied to targeted countries in most hospitals by 3rd Qtr 20'. This is also subjected to the gaining the approvals from its relevant authorities.

oilwaterman what happened if MOH doesn't grant approval for nasal swab? It has been 2 months and 6 days since May announcement of nasal swab production plan.
11/07/2020 11:58 AM
iloveking88 Bro if moh does not approve the nasal swab does not affect them to sell to US directly which is FDA approved. If can approve by MOH is a bonus for the company to supply in Malaysia. Most of the K1 businesses is exporting to overseas so if covid is getting serious globally, it will benefit to K1
11/07/2020 12:08 PM
iloveking88 Kgroup granted the approval as a representative to sell the product by import it so the process can not compare to k1 as k1 is setting up for manufacturing the end product as a long term business to be sold in the market or export it to overseas. It will generally taken more time. Totally different step if u compared to Kgroup

Perhaps you don't understand global MD (ISO 13485) certification process. Local authorities (manufacturing site) must be obtained before foreign country application, and FDA is the main source of requirements and standards which MOH use in their certification process, so if K1 failed get MOH approval, you think they will get FDA and CE?
11/07/2020 12:30 PM
oilwaterman and since when FDA grant their nasal swab approval? Nothing is mentioned by K1 or FDA website.
11/07/2020 12:31 PM
oilwaterman here is the FDA approved nasal swab list.

11/07/2020 12:33 PM
Rocketteam Not sure is I misunderstood. The FDA aprroveal is given for the vital ventilator and not for nasal swab.
11/07/2020 12:43 PM
oilwaterman Kgroup took the easy way by importing FDA approved nasal swab, MOH or MDA approval for local sales is just a formality (product registration and hologram) as it is already certified. However, profit margin may not be high and face risk of supply interruption.

K1 opted manufacturing and sales. That will give K1 higher margin and control of cost and supply. Approval shall take more vigorous process, It is really subjects to the manufacturing specifications to meet ISO 13485 requirements and perhaps COVID test requirements. If the production line set up is not meeting requirements, major non-compliance will be issued and corrective actions must taken to rectify. That involves huge rework and delay.
11/07/2020 12:44 PM
aman85 still waiting approval for nasal swab?? now already use rapid test kit..very cheap and only 15minute to see result. PCR kits/swabs test take days to obtain result (24hrs minimum).
11/07/2020 12:44 PM
oilwaterman Rocketteam Not sure is I misunderstood. The FDA aprroveal is given for the vital ventilator and not for nasal swab.

No, ventilator is not approved by FDA yet too. The actual story is K1 is granted license to manufacture NASA-designed and patented ventilation. Once the ventilation production line is set up, it is subject to local authority approval and formal application to FDA. Site inspection and product testing must be carried out to verify site specifications (sterility) and product performance.

oilwaterman aman85 still waiting approval for nasal swab?? now already use rapid test kit..very cheap and only 15minute to see result. PCR kits/swabs test take days to obtain result (24hrs minimum).

Nasal swab using nPCR technique is the gold standard. Rapid test kit (antigen and antibody) are secondary methods. However, the direction is to improve the rapid test kits to compliment or to nPCR techique performance. That is a very normal evolution in scientific field. If scientists able to improve rapid test kit, the demand for nPCR test will be hugely reduced.

Some examples of previous evolution are Dengue, HPV, H1N1 and many others which those tests are easily performed by clinic to get initial result for further decision.
11/07/2020 12:51 PM
oilwaterman for gloves people, their surgical gloves obtained MOH, FDA & CE approval long before, thus they can sell immediately to the medical people. Coupled with COVID urgency, the import procedures (dictated by Dept of Commerce) are lessen. Even WRP which blocked by US Dept of Commerce because of labors abuse allegation, obtained temporary import approval.
Well, this is how thing works.

Below is what k1 replied to bursa

6) K-One is required to seek the approval of the medical device authority in the respective country before it can be distributed in the country concerned. In Malaysia, the approval of the Medical Device Authority (“MDA”) is required. As for the US, it has been approved by the Federal Drug & Administration (“FDA”) under Emergency Use Authorization (“EUA”). It will require the approval of similar medical device authorities in the respective countries which K-One intends to distribute.
11/07/2020 8:23 PM
iloveking88 Apart from US which has been approved by FDA, K-One expects to submit for approvals for each of the initial targeted countries within the next 6 months. It is expected and assumed that each of the target countries shall grant approvals within 3 to 6 months following submissions.

From bursa announcement too

Nasal swab bursa announcement by k1

Leveraging on the Company’s expertise in Design & Development (“D&D”) and deep manufacturing experience, it had placed order with a reputable US based 3D printing technology developer and manufacturer to supply 3D printer for the purpose of 3D printing the Nasal Swabs.
