Business Background

Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust provides unitholders with a diversified portfolio of retail, hospitality, office and other real estate assets. Sunway REIT divides its property type into four categories: retail, hotel, office, and others. The retail properties, which include shopping malls and hypermarkets, generate the most revenue for the company. The retail properties’ tenants include department stores, supermarkets, cinemas, entertainment centres, fashion stores, convention centres, and others. The investment trust focuses on retail and mixed-use assets in cities and townships in Malaysia.

lamcso Some Fund short sell SunReits suddenly from 1.55 to 1,50 with huge volume. Surprised that they are so greedy that even want to Short Reits or they go Ulterior movives? Time Bursa give Fair game to retailers to short But not the Unfair IDSS (1 day) ridiculous. Looks like Bursa is in cohort with syndicated funds!

tollebunsmith Fund will always make it a hype after collection so that they can off load to u and make a profit.. so rule number one is whatever the hype.. buy when uit is cheap and offload to others when the fundmanagers have pushed the price high.. repeat and rinse

tollebunsmith just a sane issue... you really think fund managers go for the puny dividend of 1 to 4 %?... no... they make a lot from price difference.. sometimes as mush as 20% in a few days and they value is propotional to the volume they off loaded... if not enough buyers also they dont care cos the balance sell cheaper tghan markt ( also average way higher than the few % losses.. or the keep those few unsold for next round... maybe be months/years away.. but their bottow line already big fat profit... so be careful and be smart.....small investers always lose to big boys cos only big funders can change the direction on their whims and strategy

kinuxian It been about 2 months since inoculation had started and now merely 3.9% administered at least one shot. As a gauge, Indonesia ~ 1.87%, Germany ~7.4%, Singapore ~11% and UK ~19% after 2 months of progress.

Besides, there are about 8 - 9 new malls are scheduled to open in 2021 within Klang Valley including Pavilion Bukit Jalil complex (Q4 2021) that pretty close to Sunway Mall. Portion of frequent visitors from Bdr Kinrara, Puchong, B.Jalil, Sri Petaling, Sri Kembangan etc from nearby area will be draw away. Affected REIT including CMMT (The Mines) and IGBReit (MidValley) where resident within these area had too many options including smaller neighborhood mall.

With slow vaccination progress, new competition ahead and potential of c19 fourth wave, recovery might not as smooth as expected.
