Ibelieve My indian friend staying with his eight family members in a single storey low cost house may not like my joke. If by coincidence that the MoHr enforcers mistake them as foreign labors and summon them using Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446), that is quite logical and fair. Why the locals can do that and the employers of foreign labors cannot?

Which of you here enjoy sleeping in living room and very often do that? I myself even have a friend who place his queen-sized complete set of bed permanently in the living room, because he think his bedrooms are haunted and dare not to sleep there. So do we break the amenities law and should we be summoned to the court? And should they bring along my friend's mattress as evidence to court exactly like DSAI's case last time? Haha.

Think about it, isnt that insane?

Sweetchocalates That's what naysayers would do. They are cowards. When price goes down, they come out. When price goes up, they are nowhere to be found.

Supermax investors are still here despite the price goes up or down.

Sam Singh This is the main difference between amateurs and pros, as seen at this forum:

Amateurs use emotion and become unthinking fanboys.
Not much different with football supporters.
They pride themselves for `being loyal'. Thinking it's `a good thing'. In reality, that's STUPIDITY.

Pros use their head and coolly analyse.
They recognise and accept trends and changes in the market.
Their sole objective is to make profits.
They have loyalty only to their bottom line.

Which is why pros see their capital ever increasing.
Meanwhile amateurs keep on losing money. And they become increasingly abusive when the market doesn't go their way. As we see in this forum.
LOSERS.
01/12/2020 8:05 PM
Sweetchocalates That's not my point. I m not trying to be loyal to supermax. What i m saying is that u guys dont have the balls to face us when things dont go your way(price goes up). U guys only come out when price goes down to show that u are "right".

supermxmx SHAH ALAM: The government will use the educational approach on employers in various sectors until the end of this year so that they can comply with the Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities (Amendment) Act 2019 (Act 446).

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan (pix) said errant employers would not be fined during this period as well since the enforcement of the act is still in its early stages.

“Our intention is not to fine the employers. If we are only focused on penalising (employers) for non-compliance, our efforts will eventually fail. However, during this period, let no party take advantage of the situation.

“It is the ministry’s responsibility to educate and encourage employers to comply (with Act 446). So, we will use discretion to introduce the act,“ he said at a press conference after launching the Labour Enrichment and Professionalism seminar, here, today.

Act 446 (Amendment) 2019, enacted on Sept 1 last year, aims to improve the Guidelines for the Foreign Workers’ Accommodation 2018, prepared by the Department of Labour Peninsular Malaysia, which covers the standard of minimum living space, basic facilities for homes and workers as well as elements of safety and hygiene that should be emphasised by the employer. This includes the prevention of the Covid-19 virus.

Ibelieve When I said I wanna buy Level 26 penthouse, I hope you all take it as a casual talk, and it might be unrealistic but do respect that if I ever have such dream, like I respect Toneefa's L35 penthouse.

I taught my children to have dream, to keep them motivated.

Do you ever discourage your children to write school essay and to aspire to become Prime Minister of Malaysia one day? I bet you forbid them for dreaming so, because no such dream in our country, not even AI ya. But I bet most american parents or teachers would encourage their children to have such aspiration, and so did I.

Back to penthouse, my agent threatened me to let go my penthouse at a very low price, citing oversupply condo in KL. I said to him, firstly I have holding power. Second, how many penthouses are there in KL compared to average units?

Imagine333 Ken Frazier, CEO of the world's leading vaccine producer, the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., in an interview with Professor Tsedal Neeley, from Harvard Business School, recalled that the fastest vaccine ever brought to market was medicine. from Merck against mumps, it took about four years!

- Merck's vaccine for Ebola took five and a half years and was only approved in Europe this month.

- The tuberculosis vaccine took 13 years! Rotavirus 15 years! and chickenpox 28 years !.

- Frazier explained that the vaccine development process takes a long time because it requires rigorous scientific evaluation. In the case of Covid, "we don't even understand the virus itself or how the virus affects the immune system ..."

- "No one knows for sure if any of these vaccine programs will produce a vaccine like this or not. What worries me most is that the public is so eager, so desperate to get back to normal, that they are pushing us [into the industry pharmaceutical] to move things faster and faster ”, he warned.

- "There are many examples of vaccines in the past that stimulated the immune system but did not provide protection. And, unfortunately, there are some cases where they not only did not provide protection, but helped the virus to invade the cell because the vaccine was incomplete ... ". Regarding its immunogenic properties, we have to be very careful, "said Frazier.

- Ultimately, "if a vaccine is to be used in billions of people, it is better to know what that vaccine does ...".

- "When people tell the public that there will be a vaccine by the end of 2020, for example, I think they do the public a disservice. We don't want to rush the vaccine before we have rigorous science.

- We have seen in the past, for example, with swine flu, that this vaccine has done more harm than good. We don't have a great history of introducing vaccines quickly in the midst of a pandemic. We have to take that into account ... ", reflected the CEO.

- In the last quarter of the last century, only 7 new vaccines were developed, 4 of them by Merck, against pathogens for which there were previously in the vaccine.

- For Frazier, the announcement of the arrival of a vaccine leads politicians and the population to reduce their attention with the virus.

- "There are seven thousand five hundred million people on the planet now. And we have never had a vaccine that has been used in a population of this size ...", said the executive.

- Frasier explained that it will be necessary to solve not only the problem of manufacturing on a scale that meets this number of people, but also to find ways to distribute the drug, particularly in areas of the world where people cannot afford the vaccine and also where the challenge of reaching those in need is greater.

- "We need politicians who have the will and integrity to tell people the truth ...", said the CEO of Merck.

- "And when you think about sending the children back to school, we will have to find a way to do it safely because the parents are arrested if the children are at home."

- "We must find a way to open schools, not to mention the fact that remote learning does not work for all children ...", said Frasier.

Agjl Ibelieve....haha thats a good one. The penthouse analogy
01/12/2020 9:08 PM

Ya Agjl, Penthouse is a luxury, is not a necessity, so to most people, it has limited price appreciation.

So I told my agent, don't demotivate me, this kind of property might be sought after by someone who keeps mistress, so it has its unique value.

Just a month after that, he brought me a local elderly buyer, who came to visit my penthouse with his China wife. Wakakaka, you know what I mean.

michaelwong Just hint could this bloody govt labour officers next raid on Supermax domitories ? If this happen , it may subsequently pull down the share price . Must prepare for this unforseen circumstances as TG currently are raided by this double standard numbskulls and issue fines pending court cases announcement .Wtf !!! I sell part of Supermax share despite knowing well that the company earnings continued to perform with outstanding results , but must take precautions and bear in the mind as this cash rich gloves stock like Supermax can be the next target to be raided if any of their workers contracting positive Covid19 pandemic disease .

Any thing can happen overnight in bolehland with the sudden news that caught every Supermax investors unawared . They knew well this cash rich gloves company can paid the fines and so they are keen in raiding their premises . For TG who is now flouting many charges with regards to poor living working conditions , each charges carries a fine of 50 millions .

Worst than windfall taxes.........wtf !!!

MichaelWong, this is a very small issue for the giant glove companies. Unfortunately for TG their boss has offended the HR MInister which led to a show down, otherwise everyone knows the manufacturing industry is in midst of cleaning up and there was grace period given for them to comply with regulations. The fine is not 50 million per charge la, you crazy ka? No need to panic over this small matter. In fact, instead of selling its time to collect. Christmas is coming, StanThai is looking forward to give us present. Just sit tight and hold your share tightly and be a good boy and he will fill your stockings.

Haha... somehow when the price dips , they will be running around barking down on everyone, and ask everyone to run. So we gotta leash them then you see the price go up.

ToneeFa @Imagine333 Ken Frazier, CEO of the world's leading vaccine producer, the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., in an interview with Professor Tsedal Neeley, from Harvard Business School, recalled that the fastest vaccine ever brought to market was medicine. from Merck against mumps, it took about four years!
